MAN301″R” is Weiss ROON based music archive network player, streamer, CD Ripper, Preamp and More.

The MAN301R provides a single access point to your entire music library. Play back and archive music on NAS drives, stream music from the internet, play Internet Radio Stations, rip CDs, get cover art and metadata — and control it all via the ROON interface and the Weiss web interface.

The MAN301R is a powerhouse in terms of features and versatility, and a must-have for enthusiasts with music collections that are played back from multiple locations and / or for music streaming lovers.

Original MAN301 has been in the market more than 12 years. If you own one of the original MAN301, you can enjoy side-grade to the latest MAN301R with the powerful processing power to run Roon. A new super high speed interface for music playback, individual linear power supplies for digital audio and d/a conversions.

For new MAN301R, both server (digital only) and DAC (digital & analogue outputs) versions are available. You can also upgrade from server version to DAC version with the Type-R DAC module.

THE ROON MODE

The main operating mode which needs the user to have a Roon subscription in order to be able to use the Roon user interface. Roon allows to:
– stream music from Qobuz, Tidal, KKBOX, Dropbox (with the appropriate subscriptions)
– play files from local storage devices
– stream radio stations via the Internet

Connect the MAN301R to your network to access your NAS devices and the Internet. Then use the Roon app to control and organize your entire music library. All common audio file formats are supported.

THE PRE-AMP MODE

This mode allows the use of the MAN301R as a D/A Converter. Provided the MAN301R has a D/A Converter module installed. If there isn’t any D/A Converter installed the preamp mode can be used as a volume control for digital signals via the web interface.

THE CD RIPPING MODE

This mode allows to rip CDs to a USB storage device plugged into the back of the MAN301R. The ripped files then can be played from within the USB storage device or can be copied to another storage device.
